"Author" is the term used for the author of the software products that are subject of these web pages.
The author is:
"Software products" are the products offered using this web pages. These are:
- Easy XML Editor
- XML Assistant
- XML Dog
Scope & Application
a. These conditions apply to the software products of the author and to the corresponding order process for licenses.
b. The author of the software products may grant the non-exclusive right to use the software products for unlimited time. This is done by granting licenses.
c. Licenses are purchased using the ordering service provided by shareit.com.
Usage rights and obligations of the author
If a license is granted, the person/company the license was granted to is allowed to use the software for unlimited time, beyond the evaluation periods.
The author commits to give technical support for at least 1 year, for a maximum of 3 support calls a month. This may be done using a pre-formed text. The answer of the support call may last up to 30 days.
The author commits to provide new software versions free of charge, as they are release. This applies to all product sub-versions of the major version the license has been purchased. That means if version 1.x was purchased, the buyer is allowed to use all versions of the main version 1 (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, ...).
The author may fulfill its duties by others.
The person/company the license has been granted to must ensure that the licensing file cannot be accessed by another person.
Conditions of payment
a. Regarding payment the conditions of the payment service shareit.com are to be regarded.
b. The author may delay the shipment of the licensing file until the complete licensing price has been received.
The commitment for damages resulted from the software products is limited to the price payed for the software licenses.
Additional terms and conditions
a. Changes to these terms and conditions have to be expressed in written form.
b. The author is allowed to handle personal data of the software product customers as it is needed for support and the ordering process.
c. The contract these terms and conditions are part of underlies the right of Germany.
d. The place of jurisdiction is the one closest to the author's company place.
e. If any term or condition of these becomes invalid, the others remain valid.
f. These terms and conditions may be changed, changes will be published here.
